Trrrrr! is an invitation to explore sound!
By creating autonomous electronic mechanisms using motors, wires, batteries and other components, we will transform everyday objects – tins, jars and boxes – into small electroacoustic sound devices, filling the space with noises, clicks and creaks.
A true factory of “clacks”, “ticks” and “trrrrrs”!
Trrrrr! is an original creation by DISRUPÇÃO – Associação Cultural.
João Silva is a trumpeter, teacher and researcher. His artistic work focuses particularly on contemporary music, exploratory music, improvisation and the integration of electronics with the trumpet in multidisciplinary and collaborative contexts. He has performed at major festivals and venues in Portugal and across Europe.
He holds a PhD in Music and Musicology, focused on interpretation, from the University of Évora, and a Master’s degree in Music from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Germany).
He is the founder and artistic director of DISRUPÇÃO, a platform dedicated to the creation, performance and programming of exploratory and avant-garde music. Alongside his artistic work, he is actively involved in teaching, regularly leading workshops and masterclasses.
