E.B.1 Bairro Operário

This workshop will be a space for us to explore and reflect on who we are, the place we occupy in this world, and what we want to do in it.

In January, we begin by focusing on each of our own “selves.” We work with gestures, animals, trees, objects, words, and the characteristics with which we individually identify. We experiment with them in our bodies, to see if they fit us. We create self-portraits in different ways.
And we build a private exhibition about the “self.”

Then, in April, we will dive into the world and into what we want for it. We will choose the words the world needs in order to survive. We will choose the actions that can make the world happier. We will commission a world, exactly as we would like it to be. We will store that dream, that desire we want to become real, in a bottle, or in an envelope, in a box, in a safe? And we will decide what to do with it. Do we bury it to rediscover it in eight years? Do we throw it into the sea so it can travel very far? Do we send it by post? To whom? Do we publish it in the newspaper?
